Office carpet cleaning in Hong Kong

Office carpet is often cleaned only when someone finally notices. We clean workplace carpet and tiles with as little disruption as we can.

Carpets absorb noise and make offices more comfortable, but they also collect dust, coffee, and whatever comes in on people's shoes. A shared floor sees heavy use every working day, and most of the build-up happens gradually enough that no one notices.

What office carpet goes through

  • Entrance and reception areas take the first hit of street grit
  • Pantries and the routes to them collect coffee, tea and food spills
  • Corridors and paths between desks grey over time
  • Under desks and around chairs, castors wear the pile and dust collects
  • Meeting rooms get food and drink spills, and clients see them

Working around your business

Timing. Most offices prefer that we clean when staff are out, leaving time to dry before the next working day. Evenings, weekends and public holidays are common choices, depending on what your building allows.

Building rules. Hong Kong office towers often have their own rules for contractors, including goods lift bookings, permitted hours and loading access. Your building's management office can tell you what's required, and if you pass that on to us, we'll plan around it.

Phased cleaning. You don't have to do it all at once. Cleaning a floor section by section may suit you better if the office never fully empties.

Our approach to office carpet

We start with dry vacuuming and dust removal, as that's where most of the soil is. After that, we treat problem areas, then wash using a method suited to the carpet. For many fitted carpets, that means hot water extraction.

With carpet tiles, we keep a close eye on moisture to avoid affecting the adhesive. Where drying time is the main constraint, we may suggest a lower-moisture method for routine maintenance, with deeper cleaning less often.

A maintenance plan costs less over time

Grit acts like sandpaper on fibres. Removing it regularly helps the carpet last longer, and it means you're not paying for a large restorative clean every few years. A simple plan is to clean high-traffic areas more often, and the rest of the floor less often. See our office carpet maintenance schedule for a practical starting point.

What affects the price

Floor area, fibre and tile type, soiling, how much furniture needs moving, and working hours. Our cost guide explains why fitted office carpet is priced so differently from rugs.

What to send us

Rough floor area or a floor plan, photos of the worst and typical areas, your office hours, and your building's contractor rules. Facilities and office managers are welcome to ask about a site visit for larger floors.

Frequently asked questions

Can you clean the office after hours or at weekends?

Tell us your hours and your building's rules, and we will discuss what can be done. Out-of-hours work may be priced differently.

Do desks and chairs need to be moved?

It depends on the layout and the result you want. Let us know what's there. Many offices clear loose items and cables from the floor, and we plan the rest with you.

Are carpet tiles cleaned differently?

Sometimes. Too much water can affect the adhesive on some tiles, so moisture is controlled. A badly damaged tile may be better replaced than cleaned, if you have spares.

How often should an office carpet be cleaned?

Heavily used areas like entrances and pantries benefit from cleaning a few times a year, while quieter areas need it less often. Our guide to office carpet maintenance suggests a schedule.
